It was amazing to see interaction between our Secondary and Primary school students yesterday when St Teresa's, Cardinal McKeefry and St Patrick's Primary all took Year 3-5 students over to watch the Year 10 students at St Patrick's College perform their drama production of "Vampires and Zombies". After watching the performance the Year 10's answered questions from the younger students, and then taught them some games. The finale (and what seemed to be the favourite part for many) was the older students teaching the younger ones how to act like zombies. One of the St Patrick's Primary students commented that "the show was awesome" - a real confidence builder for the secondary students, some of whom were performing for the first time. Hopefully there will be many more similar experiences of primary-secondary interaction to come.
